3rd Dan Black Belt, Shotokan Karate (KWF)
Sensei Shhyaam began his martial arts journey at the age of 11 in India, training in Kyokushin Karate under Sensei Santosh (6th Dan). After reaching 3rd Kyu, he took a break from training to focus on his education.
After relocating to Dubai, he built a successful branding and exhibition business while continuing his passion for karate. Training in Shotokan Karate under Grand Master Ashiq (WFSK) and Sensei Raghunathan, he developed the discipline and perseverance that led him to earn his 3rd Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate (KWF). It was during this time that his vision of establishing his own karate club first began.
Following his move to the United Kingdom, Sensei Shhyaam continued his Shotokan training at Gateshead Karate Club under Sensei Keith Burns before expanding his knowledge by joining Gateshead Goju Kai Karate under Sensei Blane Stamps. Inspired by Goju Kai's structured syllabus, traditional kata, circular movements, and balanced hard and soft techniques, he dedicated himself to the style.
Today, Sensei Shhyaam trains under Shihan Mark Adams, Head of Goju Kai Karate England, and, under his guidance, founded Tora Kai Karate in Harrow.
